Charter School Amendment
As most of you know, I'm voting "YES" on Amendment 1. Click here for Rep. Edward Lindsey's op-ed in support of the amendment.

Governor's Education Advisory Board
I'm honored to serve on Gov. Deal's advisory board. Thank you Kristin Bernhard, Education Policy Advisor to the Governor, for a terrific presentation on the state's new teacher and leader evaluation system. The paradigm shift is to move from evaluating on qualifications to effectiveness. Teacher effectiveness will be measured by (1) Planning, (2) Instructional Delivery, (3) Assessments of and for Learning, (4) Learning Environment and (5) Professionalism and Communication.
