I am proud to have been a strong and vocal supporter of Amendment 1. I see this as a parents' and taxpayers' rights issue. While most education establishment organizations around the state opposed this amendment, several of us stood strong for students, parents and taxpayers. I would like to personally thank the Georgia Charter Schools Association, Rep. Edward Lindsey, Rep. Jan Jones, Rep. Tom Taylor, Rep. Mike Dudgeon, Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan, Sen. Fran Millar, Sen.
